First Aid Qualifications / First Aid for Mental Health

I am a NUCO approved Instructor and Assessor offering a wide range of First Aid qualification courses; regulated by Ofqual and First Aid Awards. Providing current and up-to-date training in First Aid and Defibrillation in compliance with the HSE Approved Code of Practice (ACOP), and the current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines. 
I also now offer a range of courses in First Aid for Mental Health, for both workplaces and individuals with a desire to have a greater understanding in this area.

Courses offered include:

Level 3:  Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day)

This is the UK’s most popular first aid course and is suitable for most low-risk workplaces and self-employed personnel.  This course will teach emergency life-saving skills to be used within and outside of the workplace. Topics covered include:  The responsibilities of a first aider, assessing emergency situations, rescuscitation and the use of AED’s, choking, bleeding, seizures and minor burns.

Level 3:  First Aid at Work (3 day)

This course is suitable for higher-risk workplaces and provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders at work.  The course syllabus is run in accordance with HSE guidelines. Topics included are all from the 1 day syllabus as well as major illnesses, anaphylaxis, head & spinal injuries and bone & soft tissue injuries.

First Aid for Mental Health (Level 1: 4hours, Level 2: one day, Level 3: 2 day)

Mental Health conditions are on the rise globally.  Workplaces can utilise this training to better maximise employee satisfaction in the workplace, which in turn offers increased productivity.  Individuals and companies can use this training to better understand the spectrum of mental health conditions and how to both understand and support people living with them.

Level 3:  Paediatric First Aid (2 day)

The qualification covers the practical skills that are required to save the life of child or infant during an emergency. This is suitable for Nannies, Au Pairs, babysitters and parents who mainly need to learn about the practical elements of first aid. The course follows the syllabus of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets the requirements of Ofsted for the voluntary register.

Level 3:  Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1 day)

This course covers everything you need to know about helping a sick, injured or ill child, prior to the arrival of the emergency services.  This course is suitable for teachers and nursery staff. It follows up to date guidelines from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets the requirements of OFSTED.

AED (4 hour)
An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a crucial aid to have in the workplace as it is proven to save lives.  These life-saving devices are also becoming increasingly common in public places. This course will teach you how to use an AED correctly and efficiently.

Courses can be tailored to meet the needs of individuals or businesses. 

On successful completion of your course you will receive certification approved by the regulatory bodies: First Aid Awards & Ofqual.

Certificates are valid for 3 years and are nationally recognised qualifications, in accordance with current HSE criteria.
